New Zealand scenery and nature shots
New Zealand has some of the most gorgeous scenery I've seen in my entire life. Here are some shots:
- This is on the ninety-mile beach, which is actually an official highway in the Bay of Islands on the North Island. Apparently, someone left their car on the beach, and nature took its course.
- I also had the opportunity to take a trip to a glacier via helicopter (both firsts for me). Here's a page specifically about that experience.
- The Kea is a bird that only lives in New Zealand. Here's a pretty good shot.
- This is a picture of me at the McKinley falls. I almost broke my neck getting down there, but it was a really nice view.
- Milford sound is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Here's a page just about that area.
- While in Russell, I visited the historic site of the famous flagpole. It's now a structure representing a ship's mast, but it used to be the flagpole of the British flag. It was chopped down numerous times by a Maori chief.
- I've built an extra page just for some more scenery shots.
- Finally, here's a picture of Wellingon, New Zealand's capital, during sunset.
