On my way back to Germany, I went by way of Manila, so of course I had another farewell-party there.

Jollibee is the leading fastfood-company in the Philippines. So of course Holger and I couldn't resist. This is at the Cebu airport.

Of course Holger and I went diving - this is right before we went underwater.

This is Holger and me on our way to a short vacation we took before we both left back to Germany.

The infamous Karaoke (at my farewell-party)!

A particularly nice shot Holger took during our island-hopping tour.

This is the evening before my farewell-day. Of course we went for some Karaoke. From left to right, you can see Anna (sitting), Eve (singing!), me, Harry and Pam.

This is the freshly caught fish we enjoyed on the second evening!

This is a picture Holger took of us on our way to work. I'm pretty sure this is the only picture I have of the inside of my car. Yes, it's the one that a cockroach lived in.

On the first evening of Holger's stay, we had dinner at the Sanctuary Cafe. On this picture, from left to right, you can see Harry (my successor), mayor Geri, Anul, Joy, me, and Holger.

A picture of me infront of Lanuza landscape.

Holger and me at the Goldbar restaurant.

This is a shot my friend Holger took. It's me at Goldbar, the restaurant I took him to (as I did Harry, see previous post).

This is a picture of the local Internet-cafe from where I send my updates.

A shot of some local kids playing basketball.

This picture was taken by my successor Harry from the restaurant I took him to in Tandag. The restaurant is called Goldbar, it's one of the nicest in the area, and as you can tell the view is spectacular.

And another shot of the infamous Karaoke-couple!

This is me and Peter singing Karaoke, with Declan documenting it. You can tell that we got carried away!

This is me at the farewell-party receiving a going-away present from Anna.

This is a shot that Eve took at my farewell-party. From left to right, it's Peter, Holger, Eve and Pam.

Sunset at Lanuza Bay.

This is a picture my fellow volunteer Eve shot. It's our island-hopping boat being carried to the ocean.

This is Peter and myself singing on the Karaoke. There's actually also some quite embarassing video of this, which obviously I won't share.

Me and Joy at my farewell-party!

A snapshot during my party. Yuri's singing, so as you can guess of course there was Karaoke!

This is Cocoy and Yuri (singing), my officemates.

My friend Holger from Germany having a go at the Lechon.

Unfortunately this picture isn't sharp, but it's my good friend Prox and me during my farewell-party.

Tinty and me during my farewell-party.

This is Peter, a fellow volunteer, and Anul, my officemate, at my farewell-party.

This is the evening - my farewell-party! Of course I had a Lechon (pig), which is practically a must at an event of this kind. It was gone in something like 5 minutes. On the left you can see my officemate Cocoy, and on the right is Rob, a fellow volunteer.

Our boat coming to pick us up - for the next island!

Another shot from within a lagoon.

And another excellent example of how beautiful Lanuza Bay is!

...and another!

Another shot from one of the islands we hopped to.

The sight from the island we visited. Georgeous!

This is one of the islands we hopped to. I think this one is Ayoke (which is inhabited).

On the morning of my farewell-party, I took the early arrivals island hopping around Lanuza Bay. This is a shot of a local fisherman, Harry, Holger, Anna and Eve, Pam and myself (fron back to front). We had fantastic weather (although I got a little burned). The boat we were in had it's maiden journey with us!

As a farewell gift, the council gave me this plaque. I'm truly honored. The council also named me an honorary citizen of the seven municipalities!

One of the discussions during the council meeting.

This picture was taken during the last council meeting - my farewell-meeting! To the left you can see my good friend Holger, who came to visit me all the way from Germany!

This is Marybeth right after the workshop. To the left is Coco, and to the right is Rose.

...and another shot during the same workshop.

This is me at one of the last workshops during my stay. Here I'm sharing some skills around proposal-writing.

The beach of Lanuza. And my party-location! :-)

Somehow I never get sick of these shots. This one was taken from the mayor's beach house, where a few days later I had my farewell-party.
